Gin the Sim
R.I.P.
Rats! Geocities is telling us "page not found." Did Gin move, start a new site, or just give up? The directory for her personal home page is still there with some poetry pages, but the Sims stuff is gone.

Carla says, "I just haveto tell you about Gin the Sim! On her personal web site, Gin is having fun with SimPose-ium to create some beautiful illustrations of herself and her friends. There's nothing to download, no tutorials, and no programs; just a wonderful way to enjoy The Sims and share the experience with us!"

Pasiphae says, "Beautiful houses. Wonderful dresses. Great historical note. Wrong planet."

Carla says, "No hoop skirts on Luna?"

Pasiphae says, "You can if you want to, but the way you bounce around, I'd recommend pantaloons."

Gotta Love
Those Sims
Gotta Love Those Sims has lots of recolored objects in many categories. Many of the objects require the Vacation or Hot Date expansion packs. Large collection of carefully detailed walls with original themes and designs. When visited there were just a few adult female skins, all based on the same knee-length skirt body mesh. See "Other" under Miscellaneous Objects for original items; if you don't like the pastel colors, you have to "donate" $2 to $3 per item. Hosted in Texas on bluedomino.com.

Hans Christian Andersim

SimsHost
Take a trip to Denmark with Hans Christian Andersim! The webmistress has a special interest in Danish and Scandinavian design, and plans to focus on Danish-themed items. In addition to furniture and furnishings, the collection includes houses based on real-life Danish floor plans. The site opened on February 8, 2004 with a complete set of furniture and furnishings based on the flag of Denmark.

If that's not enough Danish to go with your morning coffee, also look at the links section where you will find links to sites about Danish history and culture.

Harry Potter Collective The Harry Potter Collective came on line just in time for Halloween 2001 with a house full of Halloween-themed objects just for Harry Potter fans. Makodream subsequently moved the site from Geocities to her Sultry Earth site in 2002 and added some nifty antique furniture.

Just ignore the remnant of the old site on Geocities. Mako says she'd like to redirect it, but she lost her Geocities password. The Harry Potter Collective is a theme at Sultry Earth, hosted in France by free.fr.

Check out Ryan's notes about Sultry Earth on page 13.

Walls, floors, and paintings are the emphasis for Helena's Sim Site, but you will also find a stack of snowballs in the Objects section. Helena's floors collection is nicely organized by style, which makes it easy to find what we are looking for.

Pasiphae says, "What I'm looking for is Livin' Luna items, and I found lots of them among Helena's floors."

Historic Sim Houses

SimsHost
Historic Sim Houses will take you on a trip back to the 19th century, a time when craftsmanship and style dominated the construction industry. That same spirit of dedication to the art carries through in the exquisitely detailed houses reproduced from the orginal plans for real homes.

Each house comes complete with a shopping list and is available in furnished and unfurnished versions for your sims to enjoy.

Historic Sim Houses opened in its new location on SimsHost on September 13, 2002 after exhausting the resources available from its previous hosting service.

Ikbod's

Livin' Luna

Hosted Site
Ikbod's objects were already getting attention around here even while she was building her original site, Fairywitch & Ikbod's Sims. Her large collection of coordinated room sets includes clever innovations in every theme such as her popular glass shower stalls and stainless steel kitchen set. Don't miss the Mahogany Library!

We have had the privilege of hosting Ikbod's on Moon Sims since 12 November 2001.

Pasiphae says, "Look at this wonderful metal-and-glass staircase with matching windows and columns! And a whole stainless steel bathroom! I give Rachel my Livin' Luna badge even before she had her web site up!"

IkyZ DownloadZ IkyZ DownloadZ is heavy on webcraft but the content is growing. There's a little bit of something in every category. Just one appliance -- the King Barbie, and outdoor barbecue grill -- but it's outstanding; and 7 table lamps. Skins for adult women, boys, and girls; no men yet. The Themed skins section is the star of the show, with turn-of-the-century dresses for adult women. Three houses that you can download. Some walls and floors. Tutorials use Paint Shop Pro. "Utils" brings up a menu of remote-linked programs for Windows users; nothing for Macintosh users here.

The site came on line in May 2002. Has its own forum on site, linked from the main navigation menu.

Don't miss the Links section; it has lots of links to other sites with notes about what you will find there, and we've already spotted a few sites that we haven't visited yet!

Oops! We had this entry under "YZ Downloadz." Moved it here and updated the notes. The webcraft is getting even better since our last visit in November. The King Barbie still rules!

Ingela's Simhouse Nice collection of carefully recolored objects. Large number of variations on the aquarium in the Decorative section. Ingela has a good eye for understated elegance; many of the objects are redone in tastefully subdued light earth tones. Hosted in Sweden by olefsen.net; presented in English.

Entry created 17 July 02
Inner Sims Some very creative objects with designs we haven't see elsewhere. Huge selection of really outstanding tapestries and rugs. Features a section of outstanding walls by DeathKat and a dozen downloable houses by Genie. Many of the objects require Hot Date. When you enter, scroll down toward the bottom of the page to find the navigation links to the site's subsections. Has a forum on EZBoard. (Caution: Don't give EZBoard an email address that you want to keep; they are notorious spammers. Create a disposable address on Hotmail or Yahoo before signing up for an EZBoard account.)

Jack Wolfsim Jack Wolfsim presents intricately detailed walls, floors, and skins with a stunning work of webcraft. Also has sections for tips, tricks, and how-to's. Offers specialties for fat and skinny sims of all genders. She is working on a "Missing Mesh Project" that will add all the missing skinny and fat versions to the Maxis meshes. Also specializes in skins, walls, and floors with an Indian theme. (That's east Indian, not American Indian.)

The site is in German, hosted by hauns.de. Jacki is working on bilingual pages now.

Entry created 2 Mar 03
Jeannie's Bottle of Sims Jeannie's Bottle of Sims is presented with an I Dream of Jeannie theme. Offers some unique, sexy clothing for women and complete ensembles. The clothing section has expanded to include males skins and some popular characters from anime cartoons, video games, and celebrities. The Objects section has a genie from the television show I Dream of Jeannie. Pokemon fans, see the new Pets section for some pets that you've always wanted. There are some fresh new faces for women, including some new pretty faces for the C666 head meshes from Velaria's Simgirls (page 16).

Please note: We owe an apology to Jeannie and to all our readers for the a-la-carte button that appeared next to this listing. The site has a few nice gifts for donators, but all the rest of her outstanding work is freely available. We endeavor to be accurate and honest when we write these site reviews, but sometimes we fall short of that goal.

Jennefir's Sims Jennefir recently moved from Somewhere Else to geocities, and had to start afresh in adding stuff to her site; but she has a great start with some clothes for girls and women, walls in charming pastels, and a collection of paintings that follow a "fairies and flowers" theme.
Jenny's Sims Stuff

Jenova's Body Shoppe You might recognize Jenova from her work on the furnishings for Well-Dressed Sim. In Jenova's Body Shoppe she offers new body meshes for sims, and skins to go with them. If you need a special costume, be it king, archer, or fairie princess, look here. She accepts custom requests for meshes and skins. She offers objects in all categories, including some fine art for the walls and original rugs for the floors. Hosted on eSmartStart.com.

Caddy says, "This is fun! Jenova's site design seems to be based on that classic movie, Dr. Frankensim Meets the Flinstones! I would like to see a few more links back to the local navigation menus in each class, and of course those silly frames make a mess of navigation and resizing your browser window."

Pasiphae says, "All that swell stuff, but except for one wall (the "Grey Rails") and some tile floors, I didn't find any Livin' Luna items at Jenova's Body Shop. On the other hand, I haven't ever asked!"
Jezebel's Closet Exclusively women's clothing. What they do, they do very well.
Jinnita's Sims Lots of stuff in every category from many talented contributors in several different countries.

Job Two Sims

Job Two is back!

Livin' Luna

SimsHost
After two months of having the goodies hosted by KILLERSIMS (page 5) Job Two Sims is back all in one place with the original web site and everything on line!

Job Two Sims offers several pages of unique building materials for special buildings such as a church, a barn, a gazebo, and a greenhouse. Also offers some cleverly recolored objects with bold patterns and innovative themes.

The collection continues to expand with a second-story roof that slopes past gables and windows that provide light even if you place them on an interior wall.

Pasiphae says, "I put my Livin' Luna button here to call your attention to the greenhouse. In the Luna City cavern we use greenhouses to provide growing conditions for plants that don't do well in our year-round dry subtropical climate. The greenhouse structure also provides support for the domestic version of the RoboCrop agricultural robots."

JoVe's Sims JoVe's Sims has a nice collection of attractive clothing (Vetements) for both adults and children and a large selection of heads (Visages). Walls (Murs/Sols) emphasize wood. Several houses (Maisons) for just about every lot. Several new roofs (Toits). Some animals, too.

Move your cursor around in the center frame to find the hot spots for navigtion. Many of the small images have a pop-up for a larger view; click on the (+) sign. If you don't see the pop-up window after the first one, hunt around in your Explorer windows; it just might be hiding from you.

Hosted by Free.fr in France. Presented in French.

Junet's Sims Page

Livin' Luna
Unique and original objects for the kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, and outdoors. Really nice rugs, too.

Pasiphae says, "The metal kitchen counters, tables, and chairs are just about as Livin' Luna as you can get! Also check out the metal bathroom fixtures and living room furniture. In the Outdoor section you will find some metal chairs and a metal table that even looks like it has a woodgrain pattern on a metal tabletop."

Carla says, "You can't have too many rugs! Especially when your floors are all metal and stone!"
Entry updated 25 Sep 01: Updated review; new URL.
Kat's Interior SimSations

Keep it SIMple Keep It Simple has grown to offer a sizeable collection of recolored furnishings and some unique building materials. Also offers a couple of pages of skins for adult females. Mac-friendly.

Just Simming

SimsHost
A brand-new site from Sita Capak, Just Simming has lots more to offer than just the usual simming. In the "Stuff" section you will find the links to the downloadable objects (the pink toilet that you've been looking for!) and skins. The "Homes" section is for downloadable houses and included some especially prepared lots that have already been graded and reseeded with grass.

The "Clothes" section (under "Stuff" and then "Sita's Junk") features some swimsuits made for several of the sim ladies who bypass the "juniors" counter at the Bon Marché, using meshes from several sites that excel at custom meshes for the more voluptuous women.

Dzah's Car Boot Sale is a subsection of Just Simming that features some treasures from the sims' swap meets and garage sales.

In the "Pictures" section there are some unique finds, including a hacked madonna icon that gives comfort to lonely sims.

Just Simming also features essays and tutorials that you won't want to miss.

While you are there, don't overlook the links at the bottom of the pages, too. Often the subsections are linked from there.

Kali-Ma Sims Site
R.I.P.
Site closed, along with all the mirrors. One the mirror sites it says it should return at the end of the baseball season, but we don't know what year that was.

Kali-Ma specializes in Roman-themed goodies, in the style of Roman Sims. Lots of historically accurate heads and skins in the Roman and Greek style for all the characters in your period households. No objects were available when we visited. It looks like Kali-Ma came on line on 19 Feb 02, and escaped our notice until now.

Kali-Ma has a clever way of load-balancing to cope with the dreaded bandwidth ogre: lots of mirrors! Here they are:
| Mirror 1 | Mirror 2 | Mirror 3 | Mirror 4 | Mirror 5 |
