Dr Pixel's Characters moved from ambitlink.net and merged with Sim Kitten to create The Blarney Stone (see page 13). The site features a collection of unique clothing and costumes. Doctor Frankensim's Laboratory

Primary emphasis is on presentation of a large number of innovative and unusal skins for Sims. Also
offers two peculiar objects. Guest artists offer some nice artwork for your sims to hang on their
walls. Site theme is horror; not recommended for small children, but lots of fun for everyone
else. The web site itself is quite a work of art.
CAUTION: Brief background music. Pasiphae says, "A great place for stone walls! Lotsof beautifully rendered stone walls! I'll bet the Doc didn't know he was Livin' Luna when he made all those walls for his medieval village!" Caddy says, "Some of those stone walls are a tad macabre for downtown Luna City, but if you venture out toward the Overmyer Shelf, you never know what you'll find! "On October 31, web hosting costs forced Doctor Frankensim to remove the downloads from this site. He has released his stuff on CDROM, which is available for $20 plus $5 shipping through your PayPal account. Click on the icon below to go directly to the page about the CD."

parent company for Maxis, who created the game.
EA Games publishes a huge range of games in addition to many versions of The Sims. The platforms they support include the Sony Playstation, Nintendo, and XBOX as well as the CD games for the Windows platform. Macintosh users will be interested in the Aspyr site. (See page 1.) related information. Requires Windows 95 to run. Not compatible with Livin' Large or House Party, and
available only for Windows, so its utility seems to be quite limited.

Don't overlook the menu offering subcategories for Everyday, Work, Formal, Party Wear, and Swimwear. Also offers furniture and furnishings in most categories. You can outfit your home in bamboo! Has a page dedicated to a SimPose contest, where you get to try to outdo others' poses. Hosted on Topcities. Pasiphae says, "A glass brick counter! That's the most original Livin' Luna item I've found yet! There's a matching end table, and in the Building department I found matching glass brick column, all made by Cellomaster." Caddy says, "I really like the clean site layout. It has fast response and is easy to navigate once you get used to the navigation menu being on the right-hand side. Um, just like another site I've seen recently... "On the other hand, I hatethis obnoxious little window that sits there and randomly launches advertising pages! Originally named Sims R.E. 101, the site changed its name to En Plain Aire
on November 25, 2002.
Let your hostess, Miss Simthia, take you around town on a shopping trip among the many of houses available from En Plain Aire. Watch the buttons that list the lot numbers in each category; if you see a blue border, that means you've found a house to tour. Miss Simthia will show a great variety of themes and styles in Sims real estate. The entry for each house includes a description and price for the house, and links to larger images. The houses you download are unfurnished except for some walls and floor, but the site has pictures with furnishings that really show off the architecture. After a period of time offline, this site has reopened as "Sim Fever & Exclusive Sims." However, due to hosting costs, this
is now a pay site. In December 2001, the Site Formerly Known As Sims Art reopened in solid gold at a new URL and immediately earned Pasiphae's Livin' Luna emblem. 11 Apr 03: Problems with domain names lead Flaming Sims to change their name to The Sims @ Eternal Gaming, but it's the same site that has been on line for years, expanding their collection of goodies. Also known as ea-hq.net. Lots of furniture sets. Special items for The Sims Hot Date. Some really strange skins. There are lots of categories to browse through, so prepare yourself for a shopping adventure. The elegant PHP-driven user interface can be a little complex to learn. We couldn't get the downloads to work with IE on MacOS, but it works fine with Windows. Accepts guest submissions. We got pop-up ads from some pages. The site has a user registration system that enables you to post comments and do some other interesting things we haven't tried yet. Registration is free. Operates an egroup on Yahoo in the UK. Flesh Dolls

Gene closed the site on 21 January 2002, not due to network or hosting problems, but because he decided he would
prefer to do other things. His stuff will continue to be available on line for an indefinite time. Click on
the small "FleshDolls.com" link at the bottom of Gene's note to get to the site.
If you need a zombie or a tiger girl in your game, this is the place to look. Recently added some adult females in decorated t-shirts. Offers some intriguing anti-grav furniture and other off-beat objects with customized behaviors. The Strut-Your-Stuff mirror is a popular item. Objects are being added in sundry categories. Moved from The Sims Resource in October 2001; so now Flesh Dolls has dramatically improved response time but has to cope with worries about bandwidth limitations. It's safe to go back to Flesh Dolls now. We added Flesh Dolls back to this list after the webmaster removed a feature that denied access to visitors who got baited in by a "warez" link. Webmaster Glen Cotterill ("Sliver") exlained that he was curious about whether he could make it work, but having accomplished the task, realized it wasn't a good idea. Entry updated 21 Jan 02 |
